Ask the Universe
the Chinese Way
Should I take the job? Should I confess? Act now — or wait? Hold one question in your mind, and the Finger Oracle — China's ancient art of reading the moment — gives you one clear answer in ten seconds. People ask it about love, money, career, and timing: any decision you can hold in your head, it will read. No tarot deck. No birth chart. No sign-up. Just your question, and this exact moment.

Calculate Your Chart
Bazi (八字, "Eight Characters") is a 1,000-year-old Chinese system that maps your birth moment onto eight characters — four Heavenly Stems and four Earthly Branches.

The luopan (羅盤) is the magnetic compass of Chinese metaphysics — for centuries, the instrument masters held while reading a life, a house, a moment. This site is its modern, plain-English descendant: Bazi, the I Ching, and the Five Elements, offered as tools for self-reflection rather than crystal balls.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the same as Western astrology?
Different system, same instinct. Western astrology maps the sky at your birth moment; Bazi maps the same moment through the Chinese solar calendar — two characters for each of the year, month, day and hour you were born. Both describe tendencies, not verdicts.
Why do you ask where I was born?
Because clock time is not astronomical time. The same "8:30 PM" means a different moment of the solar year in New York than in Shanghai — and daylight-saving rules have changed over the decades. This calculator converts your birth clock time to the exact astronomical moment using the timezone and DST rules in force where and when you were born. Most free calculators skip this; your Year and Month pillars depend on it.
What if I don't know my birth time?
Leave the time blank — the chart is calculated for noon and the Hour pillar is clearly marked as approximate. Year, Month and Day pillars stay exact. Or try the Finger Oracle, which needs no birth data at all.
Do you store anything I type?
No. Every calculation runs entirely in your browser. Your birth date, birth place and any question you type are never uploaded, stored, or shared — close the tab and they are gone.
Can Bazi tell me if I'll be rich, or who I'll marry?
No — and be wary of anyone who claims it can. Bazi is a mirror for self-reflection: it describes where energy flows easily and where life tends to teach. Real decisions deserve real professionals.
Is it really free?
Yes. The Finger Oracle and the Bazi calculator are free, unlimited, and ad-free. If you ever want a deep written report, that will be optional and clearly priced — the tools themselves stay free.
